Blog Update (8/27/17)
Hi friends, as our United We Rock Tour with Styx and Don Felder winds down, our feelings are bittersweet. We had an awesome summer tour, incredible crowds, and continued comradery among the bands and crews. Our final week included perhaps our two strongest shows at Jones Beach in New York City, and the PNC in New Jersey, as well as a successful videotaping of our Syracuse show for AXS TV. That show is scheduled to air in November.
We have a number of “evening with” shows coming up…check at reospeedwagon.com for a tour date in your area. We do find that people are willing to travel from all over the world to catch our shows. I borrowed this sign from a fan who came in from Tokyo to see four shows on this tour, and held up a number of different signs throughout the concert, including this one.
As much fun as this tour has been, we are all ready for the break. Neal misses his wife and Dave his loved ones. Bruce, Bryan and I all have children at home, and wives who have been holding down the forts single handedly. We work hard out here, but there is no question whose job is harder. Our wives definitely do the heavy lifting, and we love them for it.
Thanks to everyone who came out to see United We Rock. Special thanks to all of you who took our Hi Infidelity album into your hearts, and were responsible for our incredible Diamond Award. We look forward to seeing many of you on our upcoming tour stops.
Okay, that’s all for now…later, kc
