Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Hi friends, first of all Happy St. Paddy’s Day to everyone…we all have a little Blarney in us, some more than others! Today is a day to celebrate, have a green beer, cus the future is looking brighter every day…and today it looks green!
Anyway, forgive me if I am repeating myself here, but St.Patrick’s Day is really very special in our family. My Father and his twin brother were born on St.Paddy’s in 1925. On St Patrick’s Day 1989, I had a big party, dyed my pool green in homage to the Chicago River, we had green beer, green wine, and we used green food coloring to make my two big Airedales green dogs for a day. A young music publisher named Lisa Wells was a guest of a mutual songwriter friend, she was the last person to arrive at the party, and the last one to leave…she actually never left! In 1996, seven years to the day from when Lisa and I met, we “celebrated” St Paddy’s…and nine months later, our beautiful daughter Holly was born! Luck o’the Irish indeed!
So yeah, St Patrick’s Day is big for my family. Tell me your St Paddy’s story!
