written by REO Speedwagon

Hi friends, I want to thank those of you who are supporting my wonderful friend Smooth. All of these “Time for me to Fly” images are hand drawn by Smooth, and the guitars are hand-painted and spectacular … I know, I played them! When you buy any of these items, you not only get a unique piece, but you own a little piece of the positive energy that Smooth embodies. His story and his spirit are an inspiration to me, and everyone who knows him. The profit from the sale of these items is all for the benefit of Steven “Smooth” Summers. I appreciate your support, and look forward to signing and personalizing these awesome guitars. … kc

After 17 years as Kevin Cronin’s guitar tech, in May of 2019, Steve “Smooth” Summers became gravely ill with pulmonary fibrosis. He was pulled off the road by his pulmonologist and told that he needed a lung transplant. Smooth had a bilateral lung transplant on April 17, 2020 and since then, Kevin and REO have sought creative ways to help him build a new life including the “Time For Me To Fly” Collection!

Bid now on a beautifully painted guitar by Smooth himself, played by KC on stage, AND that will be signed and personalized to the winner! Also up for auction are paintings with handwritten lyrics and signed by Kevin plus signed postcards, t-shirts, and hats are for sale.
