Last Show of 2022

written by REO Speedwagon

Hi friends, on behalf of our entire band, crew, and management I want to thank each of you for being part of the most successful touring year in REO Speedwagon history. Coming out of the pandemic shutdown, you were ready to get out and enjoy the amazing power of live rock and roll. You chose our Live and UnZoomed Tour, and we delivered the goods!

Last night was our final concert of the year, a sold out show in Durant, Oklahoma. It was bittersweet, as we love to play live, and yet we need some time to rest up and recharge our creative batteries.

2023 promises to be a year of change, growth, and fun. We kick it of with Anderson  Cooper and Andy Cohen for New Years Eve on CNN, the following weekend REO is featured on the debut of season four of The Song (check TheSong.tv for times and stations), and on to opening night at our hometown venue, The Thousand Oaks Civic on January 11. My sons Josh and Shane’s band Sir Please will be our special guests for the entire West Coast run, and I will be a proud dad, looking on from the wings. Sir Please is an amazing young band, with great songs, singing, and musicianship far beyond their years.

There are plenty of surprises in store for REO fans, as we revamp the set list, change up some arrangements, and add songs that we are looking forward to playing.

So thanks again for an awesome year, and we look forward to seeing you in ‘23. Happy Holidays, much love…kc
